The Filching Magpie

Skyscrapers in Dubai photographed by Catalin Marin via National Geographic. The skyscrapers in this photo remind me of towers from fairy tales - like there’s a wizard or a princess at the top of every building, awaiting battle or rescue (respectively). There’s also something strange about the picture, but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s almost like the towers shot straight up out of the sand, one by one, and are now teetering precariously above the clouds.

Or maybe it’s my vertigo acting up.
