An odd bird's collection
A stone-marked grave in Libya, photographed by George Steinmetz via National Geographic. What looks like an elaborate rock garden is actually the grave-site of a herder who died between 5,000 and 3,000 years ago. Thousands of tiny black pebbles surround the contrasting stones that form a circle around the grave. One rock stands as tall as it can, pointing skywards.
