An odd bird's collection
An aspen grove in Oregon, photographed by Paul Nielsen via National Geographic. When I showed this photo to my mother, she said, “Don’t they look like gossiping women?” Now I can’t see it any other way - the trees are a gaggle of gossips. I can hear them whispering, “Did you hear about so-and-so?”
Although, now that I look at it again, they also might be frightened onlookers clustering around a dead body (as in, the old log in the photo). My, that’s a bit morbid, isn’t it?
